2nd Annual Brunswick City-Wide Cleanup

The City of Brunswick will conduct its second annual City-wide Cleanup effort on Saturday, April 28, 9AM-11AM with a volunteer celebration cookout to follow in the Howard Coffin Park recreation building. Volunteer registration is via: 912/267-5500.
Taking a neighborhood to neighborhood approach, the City is seeking volunteers to participate in cleaning activities. Churches, youth groups, civic groups and the general public are encouraged to lend a hand. Trash bags, gloves and volunteer water will be provided. Bug spray, sunscreen and work clothes are recommended.
Volunteer “teams” can clean their neighborhoods or be assigned neighborhoods in need. One team leader per team will be responsible for picking up the provided supplies cleanup morning, distributing them at their respective cleanup locations and providing on-site volunteer direction. Individuals are welcome to volunteer and will be assigned to teams.
Brunswick’s second annual City-wide Cleanup is part of the 20th annual Great American Cleanup – the country’s largest community improvement program engaging more than 4 million volunteers in over 20,000 communities nationwide. A Keep America Beautiful national effort bringing people together to build and sustain vibrant communities, locally the event is celebrated with multiple community betterment opportunities.
The City-wide Cleanup partners with the Brunswick Downtown Development Authority and Keep Golden Isles Beautiful to help keep the City clean, green and beautiful.
