Welcome to our family-friendly
neighborhood event!
What is this event?
Our favorite day of the year! This choose your own adventure music festival begins at noon on Sunday, November 12th, 2023. If you plan to see a band at noon, be sure to arrive early enough to allow yourself time to get there. All afternoon, at the top of each hour, there will be a new set of performances on different porches, so it helps to plan your afternoon in advance (check out our PERFORMER LINEUP). The finale band plays at The Brunswick Manor at 5pm.
Our performers are graciously donating their time for this event, so let them know you enjoyed their performance by tipping them!
Where should I park?
This is a walking / biking / golf cart event! There are many large parking areas between Downtown and Glynn Academy, just a couple of blocks north of Old Town. Please find parking in one of those lots (indicated in blue on OUR MAP). From there, you can easily walk or take our trolley to your first porch where your music-filled afternoon will begin!
Limited ADA parking will be available next to the Glynn Academy tennis courts at the northeast corner of Wright Square.
If you need to park an RV or a vehicle with a trailer, you should find longer parking spaces along Bay Street near Downtown.
PUBLIC STREET CLOSURES DURING PORCHFEST (with exception for residents, performers, and emergency vehicles):
• Union Street between Monck Street and 1st Avenue
• all roads surrounding Halifax Square
What should I bring?
Bikes, little red wagons, lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers are encouraged. If it looks like it will rain, bring your raincoat or umbrella, or even a pop-up tent, because bands will still be playing on our porches. Pack it in and pack it out. Enjoy strolling around our neighborhood, but please leave only your footprints behind. Thank you in advance for respecting our historic squares, our street medians, and our neighbors’ properties!
Where can I get information / maps at the event?
Drop by our information tent in the middle of Halifax Square in front of The Brunswick Manor if you have any questions during the event. They will also be selling Brunswick PorchFest merchandise. Proceeds from merchandise sales go directly to supporting this event and the local causes we are supporting this year: Keep Golden Isles Beautiful and The Brunswick African American Cultural Center.
Will there be food at the event?
There will be a large variety of FOOD VENDORS located around Halifax Square across from The Brunswick Manor. You can have lunch, dinner, or both! Drink vendors will be located throughout the neighborhood. For these vendors, it is a faster process paying with cash. There are several ATMs located nearby downtown.
What is the policy for alcoholic beverages?
You are subject to any laws pertaining to alcohol consumption while you are attending this event. Glass containers are prohibited.
Where are the restrooms?
Portapotties will be located in Halifax Square, Wright Square, Hanover Square, Satilla Square, and along Union and Dartmouth Streets. There will be bathrooms and a diaper changing station available at First Presbyterian Church on the corner of Union & George Streets.
ADA portapotties will be located in Halifax Square.
What is the theme this year?
Porch of Call! Basically, a play on Port of Call, so we’re encouraging anything boat or port related. You’ll notice some of our neighbors will have fun decorations because they are participating in our porch decorating contest. Also, feel free to dress up yourself!
